I was apprehensive about seeking counselling but from our first consultation over the phone, Dawn has been very accepting, warm and gentle with easing me into prioritising my mental wellbeing. Having found myself in a dark place after a series of events related to my marriage breakdown and not seeing my kids, I reached out for help. It had got to a point where I felt everything in my life was falling apart. I had never heard of cognitive behavioural therapy but from my 1st session with Dawn I felt at ease. Dawn helped me sift through the chaos in my head and helped me deal with the feelings, anxiety and over thinking I had been struggling with. Dawn was great, she listened and understood where I was coming from. She managed to get me to open up and talk, and gave me tools on how to cope in the future.
